29.Jun.2009 Moby’s new album! Wait for Me

When I saw this album I knew that this wasn’t going to be just another regular electronic music album, at first glance, the album art was completely different from all the past Moby albums, this time it showed the drawing of some sort of cartoon that Moby himself drew.

From Division (that is the first track of the album) thru Isolate (which is the last track) you know that he, Moby, got where he wanted to go. He showed us the other side of Moby, a Moby that didn’t expressed like this for quite some time, or maybe never did. When I heard the album for the first time for some reason I felt that the artist, really expressed himself, his feelings, how his life was going through the making of the album.

For the recent Moby fans this album is something completely different from what you’re used to hear from him. The album feels more personal, more connected to the artist. It definitely isn’t made for the club scene, and I don’t really think he wanted that. He just wanted to show who was Moby in real life.
